Jessica Burden, M.A.

Osteologist/Lead Archaeologist

Jessica Burden holds a B.A. in Anthropology with a focus in archaeology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, a Certificate of Applied Forensic Anthropology from the University of Hawaiʻi West O‘ahu, and an M.A. in Biological Anthropology from Texas State University at San Marcos. She has a variety of archaeological experience, having conducted field work in Hawaii, Texas, Egypt, and Greece. She also has laboratory experience in conducting analyses of human skeletal remains from medical and forensic contexts. Jessica joined CSH in 2018 after graduating with her B.A., and returned in 2023 upon completion of her M.A. She has experience in archaeological monitoring, data recovery, archaeological inventory surveys, osteological analyses both human and faunal, and has contributed to various archaeological reports.
